


Runk, Team Flash's new resident tech wiz, and he tries to set Ray up with a group of eager young inventors in the hopes of founding a new tech startup. Ray knows he doesn't want to commit to being a full-time superhero, but he doesn't know what exactly he does want to do with himself. His wife Nora is keeping herself busy working as a fairy godmother (don't ask) and he hasn't had much contact with his best buddy Nate (unaware that the Legends are currently occupied with their own mess). However, all the hotels are booked, so Ray opts to take Barry and Iris up on their offer to stay with them any time he needs - without bothering to call them first. Ray bursts into the story near the top of the Flash episode, with him returning to Central City to speak at a tech convention. His story arc in "Part 1" ends up setting Ray up to pass the mantle of the Atom to a new hero. "Part 1" of the event saw Barry Allen and the rest of Team Flash catch up with Ray Palmer, formerly the size-shifting superhero the Atom and a member of the Legends of Tomorrow.
